Diversity is a significant topic in the workplace today. Changes in demographics in the country is bound to give rise to diversity in workplace in terms of diverse background of employees. In the present scenario, the US workplace is witnessing two trends of diversity in the form of unequal gender treatment and diverse cultural factors. The issue of sexism is a very old issue in the workplace. Women have been subjected to unfair treatment and prejudices in the workplace almost on a daily basis. Women now comprise one of the largest chunks of the workforce but they are not provided with the same incentives, respect and pay as they deserve.
